Starting early 2007, they released a five-song EP and immediately set out to hop on any show they could to quickly become acknowledged, and have been recognized ever since for their strong performance, friendly attitude, and DIY methods reminecent of pure old school hardcore.

Striver shine by their good attitude, in a scene often flooded with deathcore, fashionable violence and suburb kids self-declared thugs. Although they encourage friends and show attendees to simply have fun and may sometimes act silly, Striver's message is by no means less intense or serious than their contemporaries and influences...
