Carey est un groupe post-hardcore conceptuel traitant de l'exploitation minière de leur région d'origine, l'amiante. Formé par des vétérans de la scène locale, le groupe adhère de façon stricte à l'éthique DIY et lance en mai 2013 son premier effort "Desolation". L'album apprécié par plusieurs compte une collaboration de James Carroll (Make Do And Mend) sur la pièce On With The Strike. À travers son concept très serré, le groupe réécrit l'histoire régionale et porte une
violente critique des acteurs présents à l'époque. Le groupe travaille présentement sur deux releases simultanément, un split qui sera annoncé sous peu, ainsi qu'un nouveau full length.


Carey is a conceptual post-hardcore band writing about asbestos mining in the area named after the fiber; Amiante. Formed by veterans from the local scene, the band promotes a strict DIY ethic and released it's first "Desolation" album in may 2013. The well-received album features a guest appearence by Make Do and Mend's James Carroll on the track named On With The Strike. Through it's tight conceptual guideline, Carey is rewriting the area's history with it's violent criticism of the era's actors. The band is now simultaneously working on two releases, a split which is going to be announced soon as well as a new full length.
